In recent years, the health benefits of regular sauna use have become increasingly prominent. A Google search will present millions of pages listing all the ways a sauna improves health, but there is one aspect of sauna use that many people overlook.
Most saunas are between 70 and 100 degrees Celsius (158 - 212 degrees Fahrenheit). These temperature ranges do wonders for our body and mind but are dangerous for something we have grown unable to live without.

Stepping into a sauna is stepping into a world without the distraction of devices that have a stranglehold on us.
Sure, you can take your phone into the sauna, but within minutes, it will be screaming at you that it’s too hot. I have little doubt that by the time you finish a session, the phone will become an expensive paperweight.
We all like to think that we can ignore our devices, but if we are being honest with ourselves, as long as it is in the room with us, that little box has control.
When we enter the sauna, we can sit in peace, breathe and sweat.
No distractions.
No notifications.
No pings, dings, or rings.
It’s an oasis in a desert of technology and maybe this unplugging is the best benefit of all.
